“Mommurderum” Gets a Face Of Wild Despair

I've had quite a time figuring out how to depict the wild madness that drives a mother to murder her children. No matter her "explanation" the torture of knowing she's doing something unnatural is always there. So how to express mad purpose and grave remorse at the same time. I thought for a while that it might be tears coming from her eyes, but the answer presented itself as I dug out the "settings" for the eyes and mouth on the shell. The paint that affixes them is orange for distress and purple for sadness. Here is her face
